about PRODUCT

APHONE is a cloud-based smartphone product that gives users remote access to a high-performance mobile environment, removing hardware limitations for Web3 apps, games, and multi-account usage.

The product came to us at the idea stage, without a defined interface logic, interaction structure, or clear user experience model. There was no established way to explain a complex cloud and DePIN-based system to users in a simple, trustworthy manner. The challenge was to translate infrastructure-level technology into a clear, usable product — while keeping the interface flexible enough to evolve alongside rapidly growing features and new use cases.

Our role was to shape the product experience from the ground up, defining how users interact with a virtual device, understand system states, and feel in control of a technically complex cloud environment.

workflow

APhone was not built in fixed phases.
After the first MVP, the product continuously evolved — new features, mechanics, and flows were added while the design system adapted in real time.

problem & solution

Design helped APhone grow fast without becoming chaotic — turning constant change into a controlled, scalable product evolution.
Main problems
1.Complex Web3 idea, no clear product shape
  • APhone started as a broad DePIN and Web3 concept without a clear product structure or user-facing logic. The value proposition was hard to grasp, especially for users unfamiliar with crypto, NFTs, or decentralized infrastructure.
2.Continuous change without losing clarity
  • The product was in constant motion: features iterated, priorities shifted, partnerships launched. Without strong design ownership, clarity could easily degrade over time.
3.Monetization needed to feel native, not forced
  • Revenue-driving elements (access passes, charging cards, upgrades) risked feeling disconnected from the core experience if treated as standalone features.
Our solution
1.Complex Web3 idea, no clear product shape
  • We translated abstract Web3 concepts into a clear, user-centric product narrative. Through UX structure and visual hierarchy, the product became understandable not as “Web3 tech”, but as a tangible mobile experience with clear benefits.
2.Continuous change without losing clarity
  • Design operated as a continuous system, not a one-off phase. Each iteration refined structure, reinforced hierarchy, and kept the product coherent as it scaled.
3.Monetization needed to feel native, not forced
  • We embedded monetization directly into the product flow and visual language. Purchases felt like natural progression points, not interruptions — aligned with user goals and product logic.

Product Experience

APhone was designed as a product users grow into — not something they have to fully understand on day one. The experience balances Web3 complexity with a familiar mobile-first flow, allowing users to explore features, earn, and interact with the ecosystem without friction. We focused on clarity, progression, and trust — making advanced mechanics feel accessible while keeping the interface scalable as the product evolved.

Entry Point Experience

The landing page acted as a transition layer between marketing and product.
Its role was not to sell visually, but to explain the concept, build trust, and guide users into the dApp without friction.
