Problem

Unclear onboarding path. The entry experience was not unified — multiple entry points (invitation links, NFT cards, Web3 authentication).

Web2 vs Web3 authentication friction. The login process lacked a clear hierarchy between wallet connection and standard sign-in.

Abstract concept visualization. The idea of a "decentralized cloud smartphone" lacked tangible visual anchors. We faced the challenge of creating a UI language that conveys cloud, freedom, and mobility.

Solution

A new login logic has been built: the user first logs in via email, then connects their Web3 wallet in context, rather than from the first screen.

The information architecture has been redesigned around the user's key tasks: Cloud, Apps, Rewards, Invite, Profile.

System sections have been separated from social and gamification elements, simplifying navigation to 2 levels deep.

Instead of codes, there is a digital invitation card. The user purchases one card, sees it in their profile, generates a link or QR code, and shares it with friends.

Each invitation or use of Aphone is supported by an XP system and visual achievements. The UI includes subtle gamification elements: dynamic badges, progress bars, and levels.

Discovery & Research. Conducted a strategic discovery phase with the Aphone team to understand the product, its architecture, and user barriers.

UX Design. Designed the flow for all main scenarios: onboarding, authorization (Web2/Web3), account management, transactions, referral system, rewards.

MVP Design & Testing. Created a complete MVP design for the first test users.

UI Design & Design System. Developed UI mockups for all main MVP flows. Established a comprehensive design system covering the mobile app, web version, and marketing materials.

Post-MVP Iterations & Feature Expansion. Developed new features. Restructured parts of the user flows to adapt the product for scaling and feedback from early users.
